SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando, for some these words mean  adventure, beer, big splashes and good times; for others these words mean distraction from the mouse and another day of sore feet!

I recently had a chance to discover this park and I was overall happy with my experience. I won't put you to sleep with a long minute by minute experience but I well give you these bullet points.

  • Sea World Ticket prices are on par with everyone else at around $80 (retail) per person there discounts around.
  • Parking is a whopping $10 so use hotel SeaWorld 3transportation if your resort offers it.
  • Not everything is included in your ticket price, for example the Sky Tower is an additional $3 per person and the paddle boats are also extra.
  • Be ready to sit, this park is mainly shows which for me was great having 3 kids. Bring seat cushions, you'll be glad you did!
  • The shows all have plenty of seating but you still want to arrive about 30 minutes before each show begins to get good seats but to be honest none of the theaters have bad seats but if your spouse is like mine and is always saying things like "those seats over there look better" then give yourself extra time.
  • There's only 2 thrill rides, Kraken and Journey To Atlantis both which appear to be rather exciting.
  • Get a map before hand and study it, the park doesn't follow the typical wheel and spoke design so it's easy to get into a pattern of zig zagging and getting lost.

  • There are some kewl hands on exhibits like the Stingray Lagoon and Dolphin Cove that you will want to SeaWorld 4experience; have someone in your group go to the opposite side of the attraction to photograph you touching the marine animals otherwise you will only have pictures of the back of your family's heads!
  • As always, bring your own hydration and snacks, for example a 12 oz bottle water is $2.60 and most kiosk locations only take cash.
  • Take your time and do this park over two days, you get 6 days for the price of just one so take advantage of it start late the first day and stay through the day, catch Believe at night (I think the show is better at night!) then Mistify the nighttime fireworks show right after Believe on the second day start early but leave mid day.
