Internet connection vacation in Kissimmee and Orlando

Having an internet connection at your Kissimmee, Fl hotel can be quite helpful. Not only can it help you keep in touch with family or work, it can also help you save money. You can often find deals and discounts on the internet for the various attractions. You can also use Skype or other internet services to avoid the overpriced phone charges using the hotel phone. Here are some tips to help you find a hotel with internet access:

Free or Fee
Some hotels will put on their website or automated recordings that they offer internet access. Make sure when you book a reservation you know whether or not the service is included in your nightly rate. Quite often the hotel does not advertise the extra cost involved with internet.

Get a Plan
Sometimes a hotel will go through a third-party, such as T-Mobile for it's internet access. If you are a pre-exisitng customer you might be able to upgrade your services to allow for the wireless access for a cheaper rate than paying through the hotel.

Need to Go Wireless?
Check with the hotel to find out if the high speed connection is wireless or through a data port in your room. If the room only has a data port option your computer may not come with the ability to hook up to a data port. You'll also want to make sure to bring an extra ethernet cable just in case.

Business Center
If you don't plan on spending lengthy periods of time on the internet, many hotels offer business centers with online access. This also allows guests who do not have their own laptops to use the internet while away from home. Business Center services can be pricey, so double check with the hotel regarding rates.

Web TV
Another option you'll find in some hotels is internet access through a keyboard that plugs into your room's television. This can be very helpful for those without a laptop, as it allows you to check your e-mail. While the service is limited, it's usually not expensive.

Out to Lunch
There are a few restaurants and cafes in the Kissimmee area that offer internet services, including the McDonald's and Starbucks Coffee on Hwy 192. There are websites that offer lists of such establishments, such as Jwire.com.

Staying connected during your vacation is becoming easier every day, with more and more businesses and hotels catering to those wishing to "surf" while on vacation.
